21 months

21 Months

Stats: 32 inches & 24 lbs

Clothes: 18 month, size 5 shoes and still in size 3 diapers

Favorite food: Reagan has been eating lots of fruit squeezes and yogurt, maybe because when Cody works nights I am a little lazy with the dinner menu...but she has also been loving green beans and asparagus. Pancakes are a favorite breakfast item and I love the precooked turkey sausage, they make breakfast quick and easy.

Favorite words: We've had lots of new words this month, it's so exciting to hear her little girl voice say new things. Lets see.... Mailman, Help, Cow, Cat, Heart, Outside- those are all new. Some of the old favorites are, Go, That, Hot, Where'd go, Please, and Thank you. Reagan is such a rockstar with animal noises and she understands everything I say, we are at such a fun age!

Favorite activities: Playing outside is top of the list! Reagan loves to pick rocks out of the side yard and line them up on the patio. Finding random sticks and digging in the dirt is a must when running around the backyard. When I can convince her to be inside she loves to rock Carter in her swing, "hold" her and watch when I change her. Reagan is constantly checking on her when she naps, and usually ends up waking her up...grrrrrr...but I try not to mind too much, I just remind myself how much she loves Carter and what a good big sister she is. Reagan LOVES to dance and sing, her ultimate favorite right now is that damn "let it go" song from frozen. It's super sweet to hear her sing it.

Least favorite activities: When I make her come inside to eat lunch. And definitely when she wakes up from her nap cranky.

Signature moves: The no pants dance is a daily occurrence. Saying "hi" and "bye" to everyone in the grocery store. Air Kisses have made an appearance, not even sure where she learned that.

Mom's proudest moment: I just love how much she loves to play in the dirt, it makes this gardening momma proud.

Dad's proudest moment: Riding her little ATV "like a champ". Reag will drive it right off the 8inch drop from the patio to the lawn and not even bat and eye.

Other milestones: We've been working and talking more about the potty this month, I think potty training is close to come. I know I'm not supposed to rush her with it but this Momma is definitely ready to have less diapers to change.

20 Months

Twenty Months

Stats: 32 inches & 23 lbs

Clothes: 12 and 18 month

Favorite food: bread is still top of the list. Loving milk especially when I mix in chocolate breakfast powder. Yogurt and olives, not together usually. And pancakes.

Favorite words: that, mess, baby, clean up, all done, where'd go.

Favorite activities: drawing, hugging and holding Carter, going for drives, taking off her clothes, bath time.

Least favorite activities: waking up from naps, Reagan hates life for about 20-45 minutes after taking a nap.

Signature moves: I officially name this month, the month of the naked Reagan. Reag has been anti clothes and diaper, when she decides she has had enough of wearing clothes she starts pulling at them hulk-a-mania style and grunting until I give in and take them off her. Once summer rolls around it will be a clothes optional kind of place.

Mom's proudest moment: I have been so blown away with how well Reagan has adjusted to carter. I knew she would do good, but I really didn't expect her to do so stellar.

Dad's proudest moment: a few weeks ago I was hanging shelves in the bathroom, Reagan watched intently as I used the handy dandy stud finder. As soon as I put it down she grabbed it and ran out, never to be seen again. Well one night all of us were watching tv, something educational I'm sure, and Reagan pulled the stud finder out of her toy bin and started gliding it around the wall, Cody was so blown away that she knew what to do with it. After taking numerous pics he turned to me and said, "put this down as my proudest moment". Done.

Other milestones:

We have had a pretty low key month, lazing around the house while snow flurries blow about outside and babies poop themselves inside. Reagan, you have grown and developed so much this month. It's so much fun taking you to run errands, you are such a little lady and it is so fun to watch you interact with your surroundings and everyone in it. You manage to always find someone to flirt with when we go out to eat, you have a soft spot for elderly men. You say hi and bye to evvveryone in grocery isles, and are the best back-up singer around as we cruise town belting out Kacey Musgraves and Pistol Annies.

And finally, can I remark about how freaking fast this year is going?! Dislike. I cant believe that in four short months you will be celebrating your second birthday. It is so bittersweet, I love watching you grow up but hate that time is flying by so fast. I really want to make a better effort to document the little things that make up our day, the things that amaze me and make me laugh. I want to remember these days forever. For evvvv eeerrrr.

19 months

Clothes: Finally getting into some 18 month clothes, granted there is lots of extra room. But I refuse to buy any new clothes for her in anything smaller than 18m. I've had a hayday planning matching outfits with baby sister (insert evil laugh here), I will apologize to you girls in advance for the embarrassing pictures that your futures hold.

Favorite food: Still loves her mango flavored fruit squeezes, Reagan is still such a great eater, and loves to make a big fat mess- I usually let her have at it, mainly because I would rather deal with the clean up than the tantrum that comes if I don't let her. Choose your battles.

Favorite words: "That" - Everything is that, that, that. She loves to point at everything and have me tell her what it is. It probably doesn't count as a word, but "vroom Vroom" is a constant around the house. Everything from her toy cars, to cars driving by, and even a woman in motorized cart in Wal-mart got a "Vroom Vroom" - I just about died.

Favorite activities: Considering she did it twice this month, I would say pooping in the bath tub is top of her list. Guess I missed the chapter in the baby book on how to scoop out floaters. But for sure bath time is her favorite, you can't even mention bath or bathroom without her then demanding she gets one. Reagan loves to share her snacks with all her babies, and tuck them into blankies to take a nap. She is a "high five" and "pound it" master. Reading and putting puzzles together, coloring both on paper and our new chalkboard wall. All favorites of our girl.

Least favorite activities: Really the only time she gets frustrated is when she is tired, then hold on to your hats, everything from books to toys to the clothes she is wearing feels the wrath of Reagan.

Signature moves: Reagan loves to sing, and I love to hear her make up her own little words (language). She is a master at sockie removal, and she loves to touch you with her little icicle toes. Any time you go potty she is right on your heels to join you, she sits on her little potty and chats you up.

Mom's proudest moment: I've really enjoyed sitting back and watching her play this month. Her imagination is impressive and loves to pretend. Her big thing this month has been playing beauty parlor with some of my old hair product and nail polish bottles.

Dad's proudest moment: One night I decided that cooking dinner was the last thing on Earth I wanted to do, so we ordered Domino's- when it arrived Reagan was so excited and kept repeating "Pizza, Pizza, Pizza!" Love when she adds new words to her vocab.

Other milestones: Finally will drink milk, we discovered during the Holidays that if we cut her milk with eggnog she would gobble it right up. Then we started splashing vanilla soy milk in, just for the flavor, and now she will drink it with or without the splash of soy.

This month Reagan can officially climb in the recliner by herself. She still needs help getting on the couch. But our petite gal is making progress. Hey, I won't complain- keeps me from worrying about her climbing up and falling/jumping/barrel rolling off.

18 Months...Oh Shit

My Dearest Reagan,

How does time seem to fly by, even after I have repeatedly asked it to slow down? I cant believe how much you've changed in the last 6 months.

You have taken your first steps, said your first words and have developed quite the little personality all since you've turned one.

You love to give hugs and kisses to your babies and stuffed animals, you dont have a favorite, you spread the love evenly to all your friends.

You have officially mandated that I stop feeding you, you want to do it yourself. And do
a pretty good job for the most part. You still love to dance and have started singing in your own little language. I love hearing your little girl voice.

One of your most favorite things to do is read your books, but that might be tied with puzzle doing.

Another enjoyable activity is making animal noises. I especially love when you do an elephant, you stick your little hand to your nose like a trunk. So cute.

You are a pro at taking off and putting on my slippers. You also love to find daddy's shoes laying around and put them on.

You are a big fan of bath time, until I have to wash the shampoo out. A master at sleeping, and starting to take longer naps. Your molars are all in. But still missing your canines.

We moved into what will be your childhood home, we hope to make lots of memories for you here. I am excited for Spring when you can run and play in the big backyard.

You love to draw on your magnadoodle and chalkchalkboard.

My love for you grows everyday, and you seem to amaze me with something new everyday. Including your new go to phrase, "oh shit". Mother of the year.

Watching you become the person you are today has been my ultimate favorite thing ever. We have so much fun everyday and I learn just as much from you as you do from me.

Love you to the moon and to the stars.

XoXo,

Momma

17 Months

Age: 17 Months

Stats: {We'll find out next month at her check up!}

Clothes: Still in 9-12. We will have to party when she outgrows 12 Month.

Favorite food: Condiments, sauces and anything to dip into.

Favorite words: Hot, Aw Man, No No No.

Favorite activities: Loves to color with crayons and on the chalk board. We've only had one free range coloring incident (green crayon on the fridge).

Loves to watch the birds dance around on the deck.

Least favorite activities: I'm going to stick with not getting what she wants, we've officially entered the temper tantrum stage. Exhibit A::

Signature moves: Loves to Dance!! Reagan is a big chapstick applier, anytime she sees me put it on she must have some too.

Mom's proudest moment: Pitch perfect sing along/dance-athon, turns out Reagan is as big of a fan as I am of the movie. Aca-Awesome!

Dad's proudest moment: Being an early bird, thankfully Cody gets up with Reagan when she chooses to get up at 5:30am. Momma needs her beauty sleep.

Other milestones: Finally had one of the four molars pop through, the other three are still working their way in. I put her amber necklace back on her, I swear by them.

Reagan got to enjoy her second ever Thanksgiving Dinner! Loved the mashed potatoes and stuffing!! Just like Mama!

We also had a post Thanksgiving-Pre Christmas Dinner with Nana and Shawn, Reagan tried our traditional Christmas Eve Fondue for the first time SHE LOVED IT! I'm sure the fact that she got to "dip" the bread in the cheese had something to do with it.

Reagan had her first Hot Chocolate! I'm sure there will be many more Winter time firsts this upcoming month!

16 Months

Age: 16 Months

Stats: {Your guess is as good as mine}

Clothes: Still in 9-12 for the most part.

Favorite food: "Bree" which is bread. Reagan loves her some bread, I have bought some cinnamon raisin bread and pumpkin strudel bread and she loves that for breakfast.

Favorite words: Loves "Uh-oh"! She is a chatty little thing, most of which is rabble-gabble, with an occasional "bye" thrown in. She is a "Peeaa" (please) pro, she knows that she has to say it before we will give her things she wants.

Favorite activities: Karate Kicking complete with a "HIIYAA".

Least favorite activities: Not getting what she wants.

Signature moves: Still a champ at kiss blowing, also loves to walk up to me and hug/kiss my legs when I'm standing up.

Mom's proudest moment:  We were watching a food network show, and Reag saw something that must have peaked her interest because all of a sudden she was all "MMMMmMMMMm" and "YUM YUM!" it was so cute that she thought something on TV looked tasty. For someone who could watch the food channel all day it was a pretty happy moment for me.

Dad's proudest moment: Eating a Tim's Jalepeno chip like a champ! Reagan begged and begged for a bite when Cody was eating them and after telling her she wouldn't like it, that it was too spicy 100 times, I gave the go-ahead to give her a little piece. And although she ate it, she didn't ask for another one! We were pretty proud of her!

Other milestones: Reagan is an active as ever! She is really well behaved and listens when we ask her to do something (most of the time). Reagan has adjusted really well to the move and seems to really like it here.

Her 18month Molars have been starting to bother her, they are so swollen and feel like they could pop through at any time.

I'm so happy she is such a good eater, she has started to protest things we know she likes a little- but after we pretend to take a bite and proclaim how delicious it is, she goes in gunghoe.

Reagan is officially a one nap a day kinda gal. She goes down for her nap about 12-2p and sleeps for 1.5-2 hours. She wakes up for the day between 7-7:30a and bedtime is between 7-8p.

15 months

Age: 15 Months

Stats: {Your guess is as good as mine}

Clothes: Our petite babe is still rocking 9-12 month clothes. Most 12 months are either too big or saggy baggy. I was even able to squeeze her into a 3 month onesie...it was snug, but it buttoned.

Favorite food: Reagan has been loving the fruit squeeze pouches lately, which makes me happy because she has always been picky about fruit. She also loves the old standby, chick nuggs and tots. Mac n cheese, spaghetti, and quesadillas also top the list.

Favorite words: Reagan is loving animal noises, she can moo and woof with the best of them! She also likes bye, belly (bee-eee), eyes (Eee), uh-oh, and BOO (BAA).

Favorite activities: Snacking/eating, dancing, bath time, taking off her socks, rough housing with Daddy.

Last favorite activities: Washing the soap out of her hair. Hates it.

Signature moves: Blowing kisses. Pointing out body parts, knows: eyes, nose, mouth, hair, belly and sometimes ears. Talking on imaginary phones.

Mom's proudest moment: I handed little babe her water cup, which I had just refilled, and some water dripped off of it and on to the kitchen floor. Reagan immediately said "uh-oh!" ran over to the oven and grabbed the towel that was hanging on the door and wiped up the water droplets.

Dad's proudest moment: Getting head to toe filthy playing in the dirt at the farm.

Other milestones: I am amazed everyday by how much Reagan understands, I can speak to her in complete, simple, sentences and she will respond appropriately. Like if I say, "Reagan its time for a diaper change, can you lay down for Mama?" She will lay down on the floor like a little angel (most of the time). Reagan is such a mini me these days, she follows me everywhere mimicking my every move. She has been quite the little helper when it comes to packing, I look forward to unpacking, as she has loved tossing random toys into the boxes as I fill them with items. Reagan recognizes different animals and knows their noises, she loves her pj's with puppy dogs on them, lots of "woof woofs" those nights!

14 Months Old

Another month has come and gone, they seem to be going faster and faster.

You are at such a great age, you are a breeze to take out in public (for the most part). Great sleeper! Great eater! Love to learn and explore new things. You are a champion kiss blower, and like to give high fives.

We have so much fun during the days, we listen to lots of music and dance around singing.

You are still in 12 month clothes, and will be for awhile is my guess, you are such a petite little thing these days.

Daddy and I love you more and more everyday. You are such a joy and treasure to have in our lives. We are lucky you chose us.

13 Month Update

Reagan Grace,

You my dear are quite the character these days. Daddy and I just love watching you wander around the house playing, leaving your path of destruction.

You play in your room now more than ever, I moved quite a bit of the toys we had in the living room into your bedroom, I was tired of my 'I run a daycare, but I really dont' home decor. So now you go play in there throughout the day, and you love to pull all your clothes and blankets out of the drawers.

I'm convinced your favorite toys are my kitchen utensils and gadgets. Wooden spoons, bowls, plastic pitchers, steamer baskets...all things that you love and all things laying on the living room floor right now. You love to stir up some imaginary yummies and share them with me. Speaking of yummies, you now sign  'hungry' which is so helpful for me to know what your needs are. You use it correctly 99% of the time, sometimes you do it when your tired, right before I put you down for a nap...maybe you're just trying to delay nap time???

You have been sleeping like a champ this month, you naturally pushed your nap times back a couple hours so your bedtime is between 8-9p and you sleep through the night almost all the time. The only time you wake up is when you're too warm or too cold. The western Washington summer makes it hard to regulate the house temp, too warm during the day but temps dip so much at night.

You babble and talk so much, you seem to like words that start with 'B', You try and repeat them after me. I can't wait for you to start developing your vocabulary.

You love to give cuddles and kisses, and have even started blowing kisses. So cute, my heart just melts!

We started Little Gym right before your birthday and still go once a week, you love it and I think it's your favorite part of the week! You are the only girl in your class, and steal the attention of all the boys, you even got your first kiss from a little boy named Jack! Yeeps!

Still such a great eater, you're thinning out since you are constantly moving, I hated seeing your little leg rolls disappear!!

I am just so in love with you Reagan, you light up my world and I'm so thankful that I get to stay home and watch you grow and learn everyday!

I love you.

Xoxo,
Mommy

ONE YEAR!!

Happy Birthday my beautiful, smart, independent girl!!

This has been the best year of my life so far! You, my sweet girl have taught me so much about myself, life and love. I will forever be grateful to you for showing me the important things in life.

I hope that over the next years of your life I can help you to see all the important things. The things that truly matter, and I'm sure that we will spend lots of time learning new things together.

Eleven Months

Reagan Grace,

My little butter bean. I just can't believe your big personality, you're growing up to be such a sweet little girl. Although you hardly sit still for a moment, you still aren't walking. I thought for sure you would be by now, you are close, but still prefer to hold on to us or something to stabilize yourself.

You are still an amazing eater, gobble up almost anything. I am just now starting to ween you on to cow's milk, so far you're not quite sure what to think. Blueberry Eggo waffles are a breakfast staple around here, and still loving your vanilla yogurt.

You love to play by yourself, so happy and content to just roam around the house finding things to get into.

Your sleeping habits have been on the downfall however. It may be because of teething, I'm just not sure. Speaking of which, you have 3 official teeth. The front top two and on on the bottom, I can see the side two on the top trying to make their way down.

We are very excited for your birthday party, I try and get a little bit done every day so I'm not too overwhelmed when it's party time.

This is also the month we found out you're going to be a big sister!! You are going to be a great big sister! I just know it!

My sweet sweet baby, I can't believe next month I will have a ONE year old. Gahhh it seem so surreal. But for now, I'm going to hold on to every last second I have with you as an infant.

XOXO,

Mommy

Ten Months

Sweet Baby Girl,

Wow how these months keep flying by. This month was definitely one for the baby book, your first two teeth starting coming in (top two), you started waving and clapping your hands, you mimic the things Daddy and I say, including:: Hi Mama {or} Daddy, Hello, and all done. You pretend everything is a phone and hold it up to your ear then ramble on like you're chatting it up with your bestie. You recognize cows and say "Mooooooooo". You now free stand and take a step or two before face planting. And my favorite new thing, you just started giving me big slobbery kisses!! You love to cuddle and give hugs, also my favorite.

The weather has been getting warmer and we've been spending a lot of time outside, eating lunch on the deck and blowing bubbles! I'm looking forward to the next few months of Summer when you can play outside, and hopefully start walking!!

I'm planning your b-day bash and can't wait to celebrate your first year of life!!

Love you to the moon and the stars.

XOXO,

Momma
