IT'S A GIRL!

We we're delighted to find out yesterday that we are expecting a little baby girl!

The Ultrasound tech wasn't able to tell us much (due to hospital policy) but at our next visit the doctor will go over all her measurements and let us know how baby is looking so far!

Hubby and I went out and celebrated in style, dinner at the Texas Roadhouse complete with a {virgin} strawberry daquiri and rattlesnack bites! YUM!

After stuffing my pregnant self with treats we headed over to Ranch & Home for baby's first pair of boots!!

I know she will probably wear them twice, but I couldn't pass them up!

18 Weeks

How far along: 18 Weeks {February 7th}

Total weight gain: 6 lbs so far, confirmed at my 18 week appointment today.
Maternity clothes: Sticking with my one pair of work pants and leggings all weekend long!
Bump Size: I feel like it's getting larger everyday!
Sleep: Still sleeping good for the most part, I usually wake up around 2 or 3 am, just cant turn my brain off.
Best moment this week: We got our heart monitor!! It seriously changed my life last night, I listened to Baby's heart beat/movements for almost 2 hours! I wish I could strap it on and wear it all day long. We also got to hear Baby's heartbeat at the doctors, 145 beats/min! Nice and strong!
Miss Anything: Superbowl Sunday was tough without the beer! I managed to make it through with my own mocktail concoction, but can't wait for a tall cold one this summer!
Movement: I've been feeling more pressure as Baby grows and stretches. Listening on the heart monitor I was able to hear the baby and liquid squish and swish around in my belly.
 Food cravings: Nothing noteworthy, I've become extremely indecisive about what I want to eat- which is new to me!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not a whole lot this week

Gender: We find out TOMORROW!! 

Labor Signs: No

Symptoms: Besides the fact that wearing jeans is a chore...nope
Belly Button in or out: In.

Wedding rings on or off: On.

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!!!
Looking forward to: Seeing the Doc today. And the gender reveal tomorrow!! I think it is worth throwing a party over...what do you think a "gender reveal party"...I like the way that sounds!

17 Weeks

How far along: 17 Weeks {January 31st}

Total weight gain: 3 lbs, we will see what the official scale says next week

Maternity clothes: On the verge of a major shopping trip, getting tired of wearing the exact same thing to work every day.

Bump Size: Still sticking about the same, it makes it hard to believe baby is the size of a turnip in there.

Sleep: Really good, I’ve been sleeping hard again.

Best moment this week: I bought a heart monitor to listen to baby, hopefully it will arrive soon and we can have a listen at baby Austin.

Miss Anything: Eating spicy food without getting heartburn.

Movement: Nothing noticeable yet, hopefully next week I can start feeling some kicks

 Food cravings: Just my standard pickle craze! I LOVE pickles.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Not a whole lot this week

Gender: We find out next week!

Labor Signs: No

Symptoms: headaches…yuck!

Belly Button in or out: In.

Wedding rings on or off: On.

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy with bouts of moodiness!

Looking forward to: Starting my seeds! I'm gonna have the best looking garden on the block this spring!

16 weeks

How far along: 16 Weeks {January 24th}

Total weight gain: 3 lbs, and my appetite is returning to normal, for now at least!

Maternity clothes: Loving my maternity slacks for work, I'm thinking I will expand the wardrobe soon!

Bump Size: I think about the same, the google says I should start popping out any week now.

Sleep: Much better than it has been, last night I slept so hard it took me the better half of the morning to wake up!

Best moment this week: I LOVE facetime-ing with my girls, thank goodness for allowing technology to be able to let us see and speak to each other even though we're miles apart!

Miss Anything: Not a whole lot, I will admit after a hard day at work I'm ready to dive into a pitcher of ice cold PBR like nobodies business...guess that will have to wait.

Movement: Waiting very impatiently for a solid kick...so exciting!

 Food cravings: They have calmed down significantly, I'm having a tendency to not be hungry in the evening (dinner time) but then STARVING as soon as I crawl into bed.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Brushing my teeth gets me 9 times out of 10. The sensation of my mouth being full of foamy toothpaste really makes me heave.

Gender: 2 weeks till we find out!

Labor Signs: No

Symptoms: Nothing major

Wedding rings on or off: On.

Happy or Moody most of the time: So happy!
Looking forward to: Gender reveal, nursery decorating and everything baby!

15 Weeks

How far along: 15 Weeks {January 17th}

Total weight gain: 3 lbs, and my appetite feels like it is returning to normal, so, I got that going for me

Maternity clothes: Proud owner of my first pair of maternity work pants (slacks). Being in that in between stage is not so fun. Really no need for belly support, but buttons dont at all sound appealing!

Bump Size: Same as last week, my tummy muscles feel tighter though.

Sleep: Crazy dreams this week!

Best moment this week: SNOW!

Miss Anything: Nothing much this week.

Movement: I haven't felt much lately, looking forward to the upcoming weeks!

Food cravings: I can't think of anything in particular that I'm currently in love with...

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing to mention really...

Gender: 3 weeks till we find out! Names are picked out already!

Labor Signs: No

Symptoms: I was having headaches earlier in the week, but they seem to have subsided.

Belly Button in or out: In.

Wedding rings on or off: On.

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!

Looking forward to: Shopping for baby! & getting the nursery completed, so many DIY projects to finish!!

14 Weeks

How far along: 14 Weeks {January 10th}

Total weight gain: only up 3 lbs at my 14 week appt.

Maternity clothes: Rocking leggings 24/7, not sure what Im going to do for work clothes...

Bump Size: Getting bigger! See Bump Pic Below!

Sleep: Off and on, I actually miss the weeks when I was drop dead tired and could sleep at any time!

Best moment this week: Hearing baby A's heart beat!

Miss Anything: Bloody Marys!! I would love a bloody from Andy's right now!

Movement: Little baby flutters!

Food cravings: Nothing major this week, still loving my salt and flavored water.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Not too much, smells are definitely turning me off.

Gender: 4 weeks till we find out! I've picked out paint for both boy and girl!

Labor Signs: No

Symptoms: Not much, I can feel my tummy streching as baby grows.

Belly Button in or out: In.

Wedding rings on or off: On.

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!

Looking forward to: Time at the farm! Lots of nursery projects I am hoping to get done!

13 Weeks

How far along: 13 Weeks {January 3^rd}
Total weight gain: We’ll find out the official gain next Monday at the 14^th week apt.

Maternity clothes: Still holding off, looking to do some purchasing soon!

Bump Size: A little Mole Hill, really only noticeable when I lay down
Sleep: I’ve realized I’ve become a real light sleeper, I used to sleep through anything. Now the slightest sound/movement wakes me up L

Best moment this week:  Finally getting all moved in to the new place! Nursery planning here we come!

Miss Anything: This past week I totally missed New Years Eve Parties! First year, since college, that I didn’t party it up…does this mean I’m old?
Movement: I thought I felt something, I know it is too early but I swear it wasn’t gas…

Food cravings: Salt! The Saltiest Salt man can find!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Red Meat, although I was able to shove a Taco Bell Burrito down my throat fast enough to choke a Chihuahua.
Gender: 5 more weeks to go!! Still Feeling like it’s a baby girl!
Labor Signs: No
Symptoms: Most symptoms have subsided for the time being! Excited to develop a bump!
