I had my first ultrasound yesterday, the first look at baby. I was excited to see the babe but more anxious to see how big the babe is...if you remember with my First Ultrasound with Reagan, I was a week or so behind where I thought I was. Well THIS time, I'm two weeks behind where I thought I was...I was disappointed at first, but have to focus on the positive. The baby is growing healthy and all looks good in the hood.

Eleven Months

Reagan Grace,

My little butter bean. I just can't believe your big personality, you're growing up to be such a sweet little girl. Although you hardly sit still for a moment, you still aren't walking. I thought for sure you would be by now, you are close, but still prefer to hold on to us or something to stabilize yourself.

You are still an amazing eater, gobble up almost anything. I am just now starting to ween you on to cow's milk, so far you're not quite sure what to think. Blueberry Eggo waffles are a breakfast staple around here, and still loving your vanilla yogurt.

You love to play by yourself, so happy and content to just roam around the house finding things to get into.

Your sleeping habits have been on the downfall however. It may be because of teething, I'm just not sure. Speaking of which, you have 3 official teeth. The front top two and on on the bottom, I can see the side two on the top trying to make their way down.

We are very excited for your birthday party, I try and get a little bit done every day so I'm not too overwhelmed when it's party time.

This is also the month we found out you're going to be a big sister!! You are going to be a great big sister! I just know it!

My sweet sweet baby, I can't believe next month I will have a ONE year old. Gahhh it seem so surreal. But for now, I'm going to hold on to every last second I have with you as an infant.

XOXO,

Mommy

What's Trending?!

Reagan, us crazies here in 2013 use the term "trending" instead of popular, or cool, or hip, or...you get the point. I thought it would be fun to share things that are popular now so you can look back and say haha you losers.
First up:: Historical Native American Housing.

TeePees. They are all the craze for little babes. And they come with a mighty pricetag at the stores. So, along with the other crafty DIY mom's I decided to make one for you!

I hope you enjoy your teepee for years to come.

Love you.

Weekend Recap

We had ourselves a pretty nice little weekend!

Friday night, after having a long week with a sick baby I took it upon myself to go to bed early. And it was amazing. Reagan went down at 6:30, so I climbed into bed at 7:30 and slept about 13 much needed hours!

Saturday, Cody headed off to work at Mom and Shawn's property. Reagan and I hung out and got a family dinner prepped. About 6pm, Cody, Mom and Shawn came over for dinner and dominoes. We had such a great time! Reagan tried Sushi for the first time, nothing raw just a yummy cucumber roll. She liked the rice and cream cheese the best!!

Sunday, Cody again headed off to work on the property and about 1pm Reagan and I headed over to roast winnies on the bon fire.

We had so much fun hanging out and even went for a stroll through the neighborhood.
We were all so happy for the nice weather, and looking forward to this week with Sunshine in the forecast.

Like Mother, like daughter, like grand-daughter

Some call it a tummy bug

I call it:: poop-a-geddon 2013.
Poor Reagan came down with a tummy situation Sunday evening in the middle of a rousing game of Mexican train with my Mom and Shawn. We all noticed a very foul smell seeping (literally seeping) out of little Miss's diaper. After an impromptu bath and jammie change Reag was off to bed.
She woke up Monday in good spirits but with more intestinal issues throughout the day. Her appetite was no where near her norm, but she powered through the day sleeping much more than normal.
Tuesday I awoke to a full on sick baby. Reagan could hardly eat, and just wanted to sleep. Luckily she didn't have a fever, so I just gave lots of cuddles and did my best to keep her hydrated. More icky, icky diapers came my way.
Wednesday was the calm after the storm! Baby girl has been eating better and has been much more energetic.
So here is to Reagan's first tummy bug. I'm glad she is breaking me in easy into the baby illness department. For some reason the thought of a fever scares the bageezies out of me. I'm thankful I didn't have to fret over one the last couple days.

Glad you're feeling better little babe.

1st Birthday Countdown!!

Thirty-four days until Miss Reagan Grace's 1st birthday party. I've admittedly been planning this party for six a few months now. A change in themes through me for a loop (#housewife problems), but I was back on my feet running at full strength in no time.

I originally wanted to do a full out Gypsy White Trash party, I was inspired by one of my favorite blogs :: Hayseed Homemakin
But when I stumbled on what to serve for food, we had a total change of plans and chose to do a good ole fashioned crawfish boil.

I have had a BLASTY BLAST planning this party! I know, I know, Reag wont remember the details, or the cake, or how bakers twine can really tie it all together (pun intended). But guess what. I WILL. And the pictures that are taken throughout the event will last forever. To me birthday's are special, it's the day my baby girl came into our lives. I can't imagine my life without her and I want to celebrate how she makes me feel everyday of her life. So damn it I'm going all out. And truth be told, it doesn't have to be expensive to be special.

Here is a peak at Reagan's invites which I had printed from Walmart's photo center::

I can't wait to share more details, but I don't want to spoil all the fun for our friends and family attending!

For our on top of it family members who have asked for some gift ideas, I've put together some ideas::
