Doctors Orders

 Yesterday I had my 32 Week checkup with Doctor Smith, pretty typical for the most part- up 2 lbs (woof), belly measures big (4 weeks), annnnd then he asks me if I've had any contractions. I had already had this issue on my agenda to discuss with him, so I say YES. He showed a little concern with the amount I've had and the length of time that they occur. So I was ordered to 'take it easy'. Lets be honest about one thing - it's not like I'm doing a jazzercise session every morning, I take it pretty darn easy throughout the day. But I was urged to slow it down even more for the next few weeks.

Without a doubt we are on the same page about this baby coming early. Doc's concern was giving this baby a few more weeks before we get serious about labor. Carter needs a little bit more time to cook.

So I'm hoping to enjoy life from the slow lane for the next couple weeks:: Exhibit A ::

Don't be fooled, I'm not watching anything substantial, not on purpose anyway. Mr. President has interrupted my soap opera watching with a press conference. RUDE.

So for now, I will try and get some fun blog posts written, enjoy cuddling with my only child, and continue to day dream about what 2014 holds for us Austin's.

32 Weeks

How far along: 32 Weeks {Dec 16th}
Total weight gain:  34 Lbs
Bump Size: Growing by the second
Sleep: Not so good, lots of tossing and turning, actually more like rolling from side to side with moments of feeling like a turtle flipped on its shell.
Best moment this week: Spending the day in town with Reag, doing a little Christmas shopping and a lunch date.
Miss Anything: Mobility. It's getting so hard to change Reag's diaper on the floor. My ribs don't allow me to hunch over a wiggly toddler with a poopy butt.
Movement:  TONS
Food Cravings: Nooot really, just hungry all the time.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope, feeling pretty good.
Gender: Sweet baby girl
Labor Signs: Yes. Lots of contractions, and have had two scary moments of "Holy Shit I'm going into labor"... Carter must be a prankster.
Symptoms: Heartburn and overall discomfort.
Belly Button in or out: Flat
Happy or Moody most of the time:  Tired, very tired. Which I guess makes me moody. I have much less patience than normal.
Looking forward to: Moving into our NEW HOUSE! Anxious to see what the doctor has to say about all these contractions. And Christmas DUH!

SOLD to the highest bidder!

That highest bidder would be US!
We are the proud owners of a one of a kind 2007 rambler located in Tri Cities Washington!!

That's right, we are homeowners!! WHooP WHooP!!

It's going to be a great starter home for us Austin's. I am so excited to watch our girls grow up in this home, run around the back yard, and of course make LOTS and LOTS of memories.
Holidays - Birthdays - Everydays...I can't wait!

This is such an exciting adventure and I'm so glad that I have this beautiful family to share it with.

And you KNOW I can't wait to get in there and get some DIY projects done! Luckily for us, the house is in really great shape- so interior paint is really what is on the list.

A few other things involve::
 New flooring
Kitchen Renovation
&
Patio lighting

Some great goals to start saving up our monies for. But you better believe we are taking a vacation before ANY of the big stuff gets tackled.

We are in the last steps of our closing process, just waiting for the loan to be finalized. Our ultimate dream would to be in the house by Christmas, but for sure will be in by the end of the year.

Remember that time our pipes froze

With all this crazy weather floating around the country I didn't want to complain about the shenanigans we're going through right now. Hope everyone reading is safe and warm!

Long story short: We don't have water, in our house anyway. Our main waterline coming into the house is frozen. It's been below freezing temps for almost two weeks now. So I guess it was a matter of time before something froze. Luckily for us, we have a no-freeze water pump out by the barn- so we go out there a couple times a day to fill gallon size water jugs.

It seems to be getting easier to deal with (going on 3 days now), it just makes doing dishes a pain in the rear! Thankfully we have power, so boiling water on the stove is how we are getting by with cleaning and of course a bath for Reag.

Hoping for warmer (above freezing) temps this upcoming week!

31 Weeks

How far along: 31 Weeks {Dec 9th}
Total weight gain:  33 Lbs...damn peanut butter balls
Bump Size: Measuring 2 weeks ahead...no surprise there. I feel like Carter is a low rider compared to Reagan. (Here is a look at 31 Weeks with Reagan)
Sleep: Good, for the most part.
Best moment this week: Had a great doctors apt on Thursday
Miss Anything: Being comfortable, and moving easily
Movement:  Lots and Lots
Food Cravings: I would pay big money to have a pizza delivered. Don't think we're in the delivery zone however....
Anything making you queasy or sick: Been feeling pretty good lately.
Gender: Sweet Baby Sister
Labor Signs: Lots of Braxton hicks and a few real contractions. Nothing consistent, but makes me happy that my body is gearing up for labor!
Symptoms: Heartburn, Braxton hicks/contractions, a huge ever growing belly.
Belly Button in or out: Flat still
Happy or Moody most of the time:  Happy with waves of stress and irrational freak outs
Looking forward to: Christmas, family visits, and seeing my baby brother later this Winter.

And now, for my wonderfully awful blurry belly pics....

Anyone else completely annoyed by that random basket and blue vase...??

30 Weeks

How far along: 30 Weeks {Dec 2nd}
Total weight gain:  Somewhere around 30 lbs if you must know...
Bump Size: Reagan has gone from calling it a belly to a ball, so I got that going for me.
Sleep: Not the best, a few early mornings and sleepless hours in the 1-3am time frame.
Best moment this week: Obviously it was Thanksgiving weekend. Lots of time with our wonderful families. Also my Super good college friend had her second beautiful baby girl, it makes it seem somehow more real to me that I will be going through the same experience soon. So happy for her and her precious family.
Miss Anything: Just being able to move better, bending over and chasing after a crazy toddler wears a girl out!
Movement: Lots of kicks, I think baby girl has gone head down.
Food Cravings: There have been so many days where I just want to load up a trough and eat for hours on end....actually- I'm hungry right meow!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Just the wonderful smells my husband produces after stuffing his belly with holiday deliciousness.
Gender: Sweet Baby Girl
Labor Signs: Braxton Hicks like a pro.
Symptoms: Heartburn, and a perfect balance of nesting and pure exhaustion.
Belly Button in or out: flat stanley
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy with waves of stress
Looking forward to: We've officially hit the 10 week countdown, if it's anything like my first pregnancy- an 8 week countdown. Oh man just typing that makes my heart backflip with anxiety. My mom brought us our first box of newborn diapers....I am NOT ready for that. It made it all the more real that soon I will have another butt to wipe. I think I may need to grow another arm in the next couple weeks.

Now, I'm off to the fridge.

17 Months

Age: 17 Months

Stats: {We'll find out next month at her check up!}

Clothes: Still in 9-12. We will have to party when she outgrows 12 Month.

Favorite food: Condiments, sauces and anything to dip into.

Favorite words: Hot, Aw Man, No No No.

Favorite activities: Loves to color with crayons and on the chalk board. We've only had one free range coloring incident (green crayon on the fridge).

Loves to watch the birds dance around on the deck.

Least favorite activities: I'm going to stick with not getting what she wants, we've officially entered the temper tantrum stage. Exhibit A::

Signature moves: Loves to Dance!! Reagan is a big chapstick applier, anytime she sees me put it on she must have some too.

Mom's proudest moment: Pitch perfect sing along/dance-athon, turns out Reagan is as big of a fan as I am of the movie. Aca-Awesome!

Dad's proudest moment: Being an early bird, thankfully Cody gets up with Reagan when she chooses to get up at 5:30am. Momma needs her beauty sleep.

Other milestones: Finally had one of the four molars pop through, the other three are still working their way in. I put her amber necklace back on her, I swear by them.

Reagan got to enjoy her second ever Thanksgiving Dinner! Loved the mashed potatoes and stuffing!! Just like Mama!

We also had a post Thanksgiving-Pre Christmas Dinner with Nana and Shawn, Reagan tried our traditional Christmas Eve Fondue for the first time SHE LOVED IT! I'm sure the fact that she got to "dip" the bread in the cheese had something to do with it.

Reagan had her first Hot Chocolate! I'm sure there will be many more Winter time firsts this upcoming month!
