18 Months...Oh Shit

 

My Dearest Reagan,

 

How does time seem to fly by, even after I have repeatedly asked it to slow down? I cant believe how much you've changed in the last 6 months. 

You have taken your first steps, said your first words and have developed quite the little personality all since you've turned one. 

You love to give hugs and kisses to your babies and stuffed animals, you dont have a favorite, you spread the love evenly to all your friends. 

You have officially mandated that I stop feeding you, you want to do it yourself. And do

a pretty good job for the most part. You still love to dance and have started singing in your own little language. I love hearing your little girl voice. 

  

One of your most favorite things to do is read your books, but that might be tied with puzzle doing. 

Another enjoyable activity is making animal noises. I especially love when you do an elephant, you stick your little hand to your nose like a trunk. So cute. 

You are a pro at taking off and putting on my slippers. You also love to find daddy's shoes laying around and put them on. 

You are a big fan of bath time, until I have to wash the shampoo out. A master at sleeping, and starting to take longer naps. Your molars are all in. But still missing your canines. 

 

We moved into what will be your childhood home, we hope to make lots of memories for you here. I am excited for Spring when you can run and play in the big backyard. 

 

You love to draw on your magnadoodle and chalkchalkboard. 

 

My love for you grows everyday, and you seem to amaze me with something new everyday. Including your new go to phrase, "oh shit". Mother of the year. 

Watching you become the person you are today has been my ultimate favorite thing ever. We have so much fun everyday and I learn just as much from you as you do from me.

Reagan's Stats::

Height: 32 Inches (58%)

Weight: 22 lbs 8 oz (22%)

Clothes Size: 9 & 12 Month with a few 18 Month Pieces mixed in

Diaper Size: 3...but the next box purchased will be size 4



35 Weeks

How far along: 35 Weeks {Jan 6th}

Total weight gain: 41 Lbs...what the what?!

Bump Size: Big, Very BIG. My belly is measuring 39 cm- typically the amount of cm your belly is should coincide with how many weeks you are.

Sleep: Sucky town for sure. I miss the days when I could sleep for 16 hours undisturbed.

Best moment this week: Oh so many. Getting settled into our home, paint has been applied to walls and boxes have been unpacked. Clothes have yet to be hung....weired. I also got an impromptu ultrasound to see how big baby girl is getting. She decided to sleep through it instead of give mama a show, but I did get to see that she has hair. She was practicing her breathing, so her lungs are developed. And she is measuring about 39 weeks and 2 days. No wonder why my belly is huge! The computer estimated her weight at 7lbs 3oz. Which I know my doctor will be relieved about. He was worried she was going to be in the double digits already.

Miss Anything: Normal mobility. Putting on pants has become more of a catching fish in a net procedure. I just dangle my pants by the waistband and hope I can somehow snag a foot.

Movement: Still lots, she has definitely maxed out on space. Also lots of hiccups.

Food Cravings: I had a major obsession with creating the perfect ice cream sunday.

Anything making you queasy or sick: No, feeling good.

Gender: Sweet Baby Girl

Labor Signs: A few contractions here and there

Symptoms: Heartburn/acid reflux. My feet have been a little puffy.

Belly Button in or out: Pop Lock and Drop

Happy or Moody most of the time:  Happy/Tired/Excited/Anxious

Looking forward to: Delivery Day, waiting is the hardest part.

The Hap Happiest New Year's

Us Austin's spent New Year's Eve morning frantically throwing our valuables in boxes. Why? Because we had an appt at 11a to sign the papers for our home.

We jetted from Bickleton to Kennewick and signed our lives away. We were able to do our walk through and get the keys right after.

We took a family lunch break before unloading the car/truck/trailer. We unpacked and did a little cleaning before ordering pizza for our move in feast.

Bedtime was about 9p, but technically I was awakened at 12a by the neighborhood setting off fireworks. So I'll count that as ringing in the New Year.

I had wonderful dreams of paint colors and bossing Cody around in my mission to improve and update the home. At 5:30a on New Year's day I was up and ready for more action. Reagan was right behind me at 6:15a. Once Cody was up we managed to pull ourselves away from organizing to enjoy the morning over a hot cup of joe and cold pizza.

Cody took a trip to Home Depot for some items, and when he came home we both finished our first diy projects! Cody installed a new lock and bolt set on our front door and I applied a frosted window cling to our front door decorative window. Neither project was anything to write home about, but we both felt very accomplished with our small steps.

Reagan seems to be loving her new digs, she has been running around being crazy. Most important she has been sleeping great! Even took a 2.5 hour nap today, and that happens, uhhhh never. Litterally the first time she has ever napped that long.

And now, Cody is off to work- Reagan and I are enjoying a little couch time and watching Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. The original of course.

The rest of my to-do's for the day are: spaghetti, bath for her, shower for me and bed for us both!

Pretty damn good start to 2014!

34 Weeks

How far along: 34 Weeks {Dec 30th}

Total weight gain: 37 Lbs

Sleep: Yes and No. Some night's great-others awful!

Best moment this week: Mom and Shawn's visit over the weekend.

Miss Anything: general mobility, being comfortable in my own skin

Movement: Yes, lots of hiccups and pokes

Food Cravings: Nothing in particular, just lots of food. Hungry every couple hours. Wake up STARVING in the middle of the night, maybe I should start keeping snacks by my bed. Cody loves crumbs in the sheets!

Anything making you queasy or sick: No, feeling good (tired but good) except for the occasional contraction.

Gender: Sweet baby girl

Labor Signs: Contractions, I have tried to slow down- I've asked Cody for more help with things around the house and he has been such a great husband. But I'm still having a few here and there. They do seem to be getting more and more painful.

Symptoms: Lots of heartburn

Belly Button in or out: Yes.

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy and TIRED oh so tired.

Looking forward to: D-day!! I've already placed my order for champagne and sushi. A whole mess of sushi to be exact.

A Hunting We Will Go

 What a beautiful weekend!!

We spend it relaxing with Nana and Shawn and we got to have our delayed Christmas celebration.

 

Saturday us ladies decided we needed to go hunting for barn wood boards. Mom and I love to use it to make picture frames, signs, and other crafty things. So we bundled up, drug the guys along for muscle and set into the sunshine.

 

 

 Reagan, like always was drawn to the dirt. Like a moth to a flame this girl.

 

 

 

 The farm will always be such a special place to me. I hope that as our girls grow up, it will be a special place to them as well. When the sun is shinning and fresh air is in your lungs it's the most magical place in the world.

33 Weeks

How far along: 33 Weeks {Dec 23rd}

Total weight gain: 36 lbs of love

Bump Size: last week I was measuring 4 weeks ahead of time

Sleep: Sucky-town. Pregnancy insomnia is in full effect.

Best moment this week: Christmas with Cody's family was amazing!

Miss Anything: My bangin bod

Movement:  YES!! It's starting to change from punches and kicks to rolls and pivots. She is running out of room!

Food Cravings: Nothing note-able

Anything making you queasy or sick: Feeling pretty good!

Gender: Sweet baby Girl

Labor Signs: Contractions! I have a few more weeks to wait then BRING THEM ON!

Symptoms: Lots of heartburn, all. day. long.

Belly Button in or out: Flat for the most part, the top sticks out sometimes

Happy or Moody most of the time:  Tired and un-amused most of the time.

Looking forward to: Moving into our new HOME! Bringing this baby girl home to complete our family!

Christmas 2013

Merry Christmas!

 

 

Another year has come and gone for us Austin's and we couldn't be more excited for what the upcoming year has in store for us. But first a look at what our last Christmas as a family of 3 looked like.

 

Here we are on Christmas Eve.

 

We started our Christmas Eve morning by keeping Gray tradition in breaking tradition and opening our gifts. My Brother and I seemed to always convince our loving Mother that it was okay to open presents early. I think our record was present opening on the 23rd.

 

I think Reagan liked our decision to open early.

After our present opening we got bathed, showered, napped and headed off to Grandma and Grandpa Austin's for dinner.

 

After our belly's were full and our eyes were heavy we said our good-byes for the night.

 



Christmas morning we had sticky buns, sausage and eggnog!

 



 

We then headed back out to Grandpa and Grandma Austin's for presents and dinner.

I'm just so in love with this girl.
