Party time, Excellent!

Reagan's first birthday party went so great, except for Reagan coming down with a fever and missing most of it...womp womp...I guess I can only plan so many of the details.

Of course I didn't get as many pictures taken as I would have hoped, but I'm thankful for the ones I did snap. I hope I can look back at these and remember how freakin awesome the day was!

To many more.

**Thanks to one of my most favorite websites, this post has gotten quite a bit of visitors! Thanks for stopping by, and if you would like to take a look at Reagan's second birthday party please visit us here.**

I purchased alligator and crawfish (lobster) cookie cutters on amazon, they were just a few bucks each and I was able to use them for lots of details for the party.

I made lemon rice crispy treats and cut them out, I did this about a month in advance - froze them and they came out perfect, a great way to check things off your list ahead of time. I topped them with fondant. I never froze the fondant (probably not a good idea), but I did make it ahead of time as well and just kept it in an air tight container.

I also covered the cake with fondant, it was my first time working with it (bet you couldn't have guessed *winky face*) I used store bought cake mix, which is where I think things went wrong. The cake itself wasn't sturdy enough to hold the fondant. It just kind of mushed together, and I had a hard time getting it smooth because of it. But I think it turned out cute, and it sure tasted great!

The crawfish boil was a great success! Something to cross off the bucket list, probably won't host one again- but so, so, so glad we did it once.
We even had leftovers for this little baby:: Best damn crawfish pizza this side of the Mississippi.

The blog turns 2!!

Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday dear bloggy. Happy birthday to you!

I remember writing my first blog post like it was... two years ago, Cody and I had a whole two months of marriage under our belt when we decided to start trying for a baby. Best decision ever. I am so so so thankful that I have these words to look back on and relive. This blog has been an outlet for couped up creative energy, a way to share with family near and far, and hopefully words my babies will read someday and cherish.

The blog has also become a sort of baby book and photo album, after Reagan was born I had all my pregnancy posts printed into a book. I used the website Blurb, it turned out so beautiful! My heart explodes everytime I open it and read my weekly updates. I plan on printing a book every year after Reagan's birthday, they will be such a special keepsake.

So thank you blog for saving my memories and thoughts for many years to come, and Happy Birthday.

Nursery Inspiration & Ideas

Does nesting set in earlier with the second pregnancy? Or maybe I'm just being my normal crazy compulsive planning self by brainstorming nursery ideas?! Probably the latter. Speaking of brainstorming, baby brain has taken over in full force.

What was I talking about...?

Oh yeah, Nursery Ideas...I have already started my official Pinterest board with ideas and inspiration, check it out HERE. I need to reign in my baby riff-raff on Pinterest, I have 3 or 4 boards with baby crap spread out all over.

But back to the topic::

Here are my thoughts thus far.

I feel like things will be so much easier this time around, for one, we have most of the baby paraphernalia that we need. This time I get to just focus on the fun decorating part.

That's all for now, lets see how long these color schemes last.
